The TEAM project supported improved physical therapy and rehabilitation at the Lao Friends Hospital for Children.
World Education works with the Ministry of Health to build health system capacity related to services for persons with disabilities and rehabilitation through the USAID Okard project. Health activities include supporting health centers to provide assistive products at the local level, promoting rehabilitation as a standard component of healthcare services, and training service providers on rehabilitation and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS). Past projects have also focused on improving health facilities, mental health, emergency and trauma care capacity, first aid, and water, sanitation, and hygiene.
