and monitoring set for a district hospital
(this kit includes two blood pressure
sets, five stethoscopes, two minor surgery
sets and two wound care sets).
$5,000 can pay for one 'model
teacher workshop,' to train 40

Your support can make a difference.
Your contribution to World Education Laos
can support families and children whose lives
have been devastated by the landmines and unexploded
ordnance (UXO) from the Vietnam War.
The funds that you donate ensure that survivors
of landmine and UXO accidents receive adequate
medical care, psychosocial support, and job
skills training so that they can live full
and productive lives even after a destructive
accident. Donations will also be used to
build local hospital capacity in rural areas
of Laos and to train medical and teaching
professionals.

Gifts In Kind
As conditions in Laos vary greatly from those
in the USA, or other parts of the world,
gifts of materials or equipment often cannot
be utilized as intended. Instead, we encourage
cash donations so our Lao collaborators can
purchase items locally, which builds their
community support in Laos.
